Clients are asked to come one time per month and must be present to receive food. Distribution is by curbside pick-up. Recipients stay in their vehicle. Identification is required. An open house at Harrisville’s radio station WXTF-LP will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Community members may tour the Main Street studio where they will meet the DJs and enjoy complimentary cider, coffee and donuts before heading to the Christmas tree lighting on the courthouse lawn at 6 p.m. Youngsters are invited to go “on air” to tell Santa what they want for Christmas. Christmas in the Village, Harrisville’s annual holiday celebration, will be held throughout the community, including events at area churches and other organizations. The holiday bazaar will be at Maria Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Booths offer a wide selection of hand-crafted items, baked goods, greenery and much more. Hot food will be available to purchase between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., provided by the Reach ladies group of St. Anne Catholic Church. The hall is behind the church, 110 S. US-23, Harrisville. This event is sponsored by the Harrisville Arts Council.
Westminster Presbyterian Church is hosting its annual Cookie Walk, bake and craft sale from 9 a.m. to noon. Homemade canned goods, raffle, music and hot chocolate are available all morning. The church is located at 201 N. 2nd Street, Harrisville.
Frosty’s Festival of Gifts will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New Life Lutheran Church. This annual holiday event features holiday baked goods, pantry items, frozen foods, handmade note cards, craft items, fresh green floral arrangements and much more.
